The Chugach Wilderness Lodge is a unique fly-in-only full service backcountry lodge located deep in the Chugach Mountains of Alaska, approximately 200 miles Northeast of Anchorage and 40 miles Northeast of Valdez. This intimate backcountry mountain lodge with a maximum occupancy of ten guests is the only "off-the-grid" wilderness lodge in the Chugach Mountains. The lodge and five cozy free standing cabins are on five acres of deeded ground surrounded by thousands of square miles of mountain wilderness. This remote backcountry lodge provides a one of a kind wilderness experience. The remote nature of this lodge provides the ultimate outdoor vacation for all ages. Whether you're interested in climbing mountains, hunting, fishing, or relaxing in camp, you'll comfortably enjoy this part of the Alaskan wilderness.

The Ma Johnson's Hotel is McCarthy's flagship hotel. For those on a budget, our Lancaster's Hotel offers less expensive accommodations in a hostel style building with simple, private rooms.
