2 Day McCarthy Special
2 Day McCarthy Special is provided by Copper Valley Air Service and Ma Johnson's Hotel.

Begin with check-in at 9:30 am at our office at Gulkana Airport just 3 miles North of Glennallen. You will leave at 10:00 am for McCarthy. On the way there experience an amazing flightseeing tour over the Wrangell St.-Elias Range. You will see glaciers, an active volcano, mud volcanoes, and many more incredible views. You will arrive at the McCarthy airstrip at 11:00 am and take the van into town. Then you will have a couple of hours for lunch and exploring the area. At 1:00 pm meet the van for a 30-minute drive to the historic Kennicott Copper Mine. You will then participate in a guided tour of the mine. It is truly impressive to see the accomplishments from over 100 years ago. Finally, transfer to the runway at 4:00 pm and board the plane at 4:30 pm for your scenic flight back to Gulkana Airport at 5:30 pm.

McCarthy & Kennicott Fly and Fly
McCarthy Kennicott Drive and Fly is operated by Copper Valley Air Service. Vouchers for lunch, van transportation, and mill tour is included in the price of the ticket.

Start your adventure with a drive to the
McCarthy footbridge with stops at the
Kuskalana Bridge and the Gilahina Trestle.
Upon arrival, a van will take you to McCarthy
to enjoy your catered box lunch and to explore
the town. Your next destination will be the historic
Kennicott Copper Mine where you will
participate in a 2.5 hour guided tour. A short
ride to the airport will deliver you to your
Alaskan bush plane. Your experienced pilot
will provide a spectacular narrated flightseeing
tour back to Copper Center. The flightseeing
tour will include views of mountain peaks, glaciers,
waterfalls, and wildlife - all of which are
located in the magnificent Wrangell-St. Elias
National Park and Preserve.
Copper Valley Air can also arrange for pick-up and air transfers from Anchorage, Valdez, and Fairbanks, Alaska.
